Partnerships in Sustainability
We work with some incredible partners to ensure our commitment to sustainability is as effective as possible. Sometimes our partners donate goods or services, where others may give their time and advice. We are so grateful for their support and DSTC is thankful to work with each and every one of them.
We are always looking for additional partners with our work in sustainability. Please email office@dstc.kent.sch.uk if you would like to support our work with sustainability.
Healthy Living Centre Dartford (HLC Dartford)
HLC Dartford has been with us as a partner since day 1 of the Eco Project. Their work, time and advice have enabled key developments with our aspiration to rewild a piece of land on the DSTC site. Their mission is to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing in our local community in Dartford. They achieve this by delivering and facilitating projects that offer a range of opportunities for training, volunteering, social interaction and community engagement. Volunteers, who take an active role in the direction and delivery of these services, lead the majority of their projects. |
Let's Go Zero Climate Action
Let’s Go Zero is the national campaign uniting teachers, pupils, parents and their schools as they all work together to be zero carbon by 2030. We have worked with several incredible team members over the last 12 months, taking on board their advice and guidance to support DSTC with becoming zero carbon by 2030. The team write us an extensive report after each visit and provide additional recommendations to support our work |
Roots Timber Reuse
Roots Timber Reuse CIC is a community interest company based in Medway which provides waste wood collection services to the Dartford, Gravesham and Medway areas. They also stock timber and wood-based products and can make items to order. They have donated three van loads of timber to DSTC, including fencing for round our pond. The team has been incredible supporters of the project and we are so grateful to receive the materials they supplied. |
Out on a Limb Treecare
Out on a Limb Treecare have provided us with multiple deliveries of chipped bark, ready to use on our Eco Project. The deliveries have meant we can create an appropriate surface for various areas of the Eco Project, including our woodworking table. |
